Volunteer Application
As a non-profit organization, we are always looking for new volunteers from all kinds of backgrounds to help serve the inmates and people coming out of incarceration. A majority of them do not have support from friends & family and they are often financially, and socially, challenged while trying to adjust to society.
The LOCK Ministry is supported by amazing volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to making the program work. We believe that every small helpful gesture will make a big difference and would like to ask you for your help!
We are looking for…
-
Our residents will be given opportunities to be trained in a few selected vocations. We need volunteers to help set up the businesses and provide technical training in each field.
-
Many of the residents got into trouble because they did not have a mentor in his or her life. We need people who can walk in faith with the residents and give them direction, comfort, and coaching.
-
Some residents require a professional counselor who can give trustworthy recommendations for emotional well-being and adjusting to new life transitions.
-
Few residents may require some help in overcoming bad habits such as drug use, alcoholism, and gambling. We need professional therapists to help the residents build healthy habits.
-
We may need medical attention for certain residents. We will need medical doctors who can give prescriptions and proper advice to struggling residents.
-
Our vocational training project, Potter’s Hands, requires some assistance in sales and marketing. We welcome volunteers who have experience in sales, social media, marketing, and any other relatable experience.
