Our Projects

We approach our mission with three stages: Love, Learn, and Live. Each project ties into one of the three stages and focuses on providing a well-rounded support system for those coming out of incarceration.

P1 PROJECT

P1 stands for Psalm Chapter 1, where the blessed man is described as the one who meditates on the Word of God day and night. Hebrews 4:12 also says that the Word of God is alive and active so that it may be able to change the hearts of all human beings.

We pay $1 for each chapter the participant writes and sends to us. We add $150 as bonuses. The first $20 of the starting bonus will be paid when the participant turns in the book of Matthew completed. The second $30 will be paid when the New Teatment is completed and the final $100 when the whole Bible is completed along with a beautiful Certificate of Completion. As of November, 2023, we have over 1,000 participants.

The P1 PROJECT, which was launched in November 2019, encouraged many inmates to be close to our Lord, Jesus Christ. The P1 PROJECT made the daily lives of many inmates healthy and wholesome. P1 PROJECT has been conducted wihtin all 35 California prisons and 3 Federal prison facilities.

The P1 PROJECT Prime has been launced in November, 2023 to allow the inmates who completed the P1 PROJECT for all 66 books of the Bible (1,189 chapters) to continue the Bible based living in the prison.

  • Welcome to the P1 PROJECT! P1 stands for Psalm chapter 1 where the blessed man is described as the one who meditates on the Word of God day and night. Hebrews 4:12 also says that the Word of God is alive and active so that it may be able to change the hearts of all human beings.

We pay $1 for each chapter you write and send to us. We add $40 as a starting bonus. The first $20 of the starting bonus will be paid when you turn in the book of Matthew completed. The second $20 will be paid when you finish 4 gospel books (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), Acts, and Romans.

Please follow the instructions as shown below:

    1. You need the help of the Holy Spirit to be successful in the P1 PROJECT. Please start and end the P1 PROJECT with prayers asking the guidance and the inspiration from the LORD.

    2. You need to start from the book of Matthew and stay in the New Testament until you finish the book of Romans. Then you are allowed either to stay with the New Testament or you can choose to go to the Old Testament. You need to clearly write chapter and verse numbers.

    3. You need to finish the book you started before you go to another book. You can submit a portion of the book, but we will hold them until you finish the book. The amount for the whole book will be paid when you complete the book.

    4. On the first page of your P1 PROJECT, write what Bible translation you are using every time you send in your P1 PROJECT. New World Translation (Jehovah’s Witness Bible) is not allowed.

    5. Every time you finish 10 chapters and/or a book, please write 1) what God is teaching you through the last 10, or a few chapters or a short book, and 2) how you would like to apply what you learned into your life today and in your future plans. This is to give you an opportunity to get intimate with our Lord, Jesus Christ and to improve applications into your practical life with the Word of God. You need to write them right after the Scripture writing, not in a separate sheet or with the letter.

The P1 PROJECT is not just for money. This will be an opportunity to get to know each other. As you send the P1 PROJECT to us, you may want to write your daily experience while you were doing the P1 PROJECT. Also let us know what your life’s background, family situations and your prayer requests are. We are a team of people who have been visiting inmates at the Los Angeles County Jails, Orange County Jails, and California State Prisons. We want to become friends to you and build a long term relationship which can last even after your release from incarceration.

We will be praying for your success in the P1 PROJECT. Please pray for our ministry as well. Our ministry is The LOCK Ministry. LOCK stands for Love Of Christ’s Kingdom, Learn On Christ’s Kingdom, and Live Out Christ’s Kingdom. We want to bring the Love of Jesus Christ to you, help you to Learn On Christ’s Kingdom and teach you how to Live Out Christ’s Kingdom. May God be with you as you start the P1 PROJECT!

Potter’s Hands Project

Potter’s Hands Project - The main reason for high recidivism is the lack of job opportunities for those coming out of incarceration. These two businesses, Direct to Garment and Embroidery, will provide them with job training and opportunities. It also will provide financial stability for The LOCK Ministry when income from the Potter’s Hands Project becomes steady.

For the Direct to Garment process, we are using Epson F2100 garment printing equipments along with pre-treat and hot-press equipment. We offer two types of printing methods: Direct-To-Garment printing and Direct-To-Film printing. DTG is a method that prints directly onto shirts and DTF is a method that prints on a film and then attaches to shirts using a high-temperature press.

For Embroidery, we are using the Ricoma MT-1502 Machine. The “15” of MT-1502 means that the machine has 15 thread spools and “02” means that the machine has two threads. We can handle various custom embroideries for hats, shirts, towels, aprons, etc.

The Ricoma MT-1502 machine is one of the garment customizing machines we train participants to operate as a part of the 3-part process.

Potter’s House Project

Potter’s House is our future project that we plan to build for people coming out of incarceration. Due to high recidivism, there is a lack of lodging facilities for incarcerated people. We want to provide a temporary housing facility where the people out of incarceration may stay, get trained, and be rehabilitated.

Mt. Zion School of Theology

Finally we will be starting a school of theology for the Prison inmates.  Mt. Zion Church of Ontario became the sponsoring church of our school. Mt. Zion Church of Ontario is a church with approx. 800 Sunday worship attendance. Pastor Brian Kennedy, Sr. is the senior pastor. He used to be the Director of Prison Fellowship for Southern California and has tremendous experiences in prison ministries. The church membership includes current staff of prisons and they will be great assets for initiating communications with local prisons. We initially named the school the Potter’s School of Theology, and we have renamed it as the Mt. Zion School of Theology.

Now the school offers classes not only to the Prison inmates but also local church members. We are planning to open our school in the Fall semester, 2021. We provide ADVANCE Certificates, ADVANCE Diplomas and ADVANCE Leadership Diplomas in conjunction with Gateway Seminary in Ontario, California. This project is being placed on hold based upon our conditions and expected to develop more in the future.
